Side Mount Brackets (Pair) - Accessory

Introducing the 2nd accessory to the Frank Design Quick Jack Release...The Side Mount Brackets! These brackets are intended to go on the camper after the jacks are removed, utilizing the QJR mounting points. They provide a sturdy and highly customizable foundation for your DIY side storage solution. You will need to provide materials to span between the two side mount brackets. The brackets were designed with 80/20 aluminum extrusions in mind (up to 40mm/1.57 inches), but the same results could be accomplished using square tubing or angle iron for a more budget friendly approach. After that the skies the limit. You can mount anything you can dream up. Here are just a few ideas...

-Skis or snowboards

-Paddleboard or Surfboard

-Shower enclosure

-Diesel Heater

-Fishing poles

-Equipment, like recovery boards, shovel, hi-lift jack, Straps

Like the QJRs, they are made in the USA and precision laser cut from .25" thick stainless steel. They are beefy!

The Side Mount Brackets must be securely mounted to the camper before driving the vehicle otherwise damage to the mounts, mounted items, camper or truck could occur. 

At minimum, use the clevis pin and cotter pin included with your QJRs to secure the brackets to the camper. For a more rigid, rattle free install, use a 3/8 bolt with locknuts or Loctite applied. 

If you'd prefer theft resistance mounting there is a window provided in the brackets to allow access to the pin hole with a standard padlock. A pin lock style padlock is another great solution. If you don't want to use a padlock another theft deterrent solution is bolts with tamper resistant heads.

The sale price is for one pair of Side Mount Brackets. A left and right version is included. The brackets will work on either side of the camper.

Warning:  Do not mount items in front of hot air vents, this could start a fire or cause damage to the item or camper.

Warning: Blocking emergency exits (windows) may result in injury or death in the event of a fire. The user assumes all risks associated with installing and using these brackets.

The installer and user are responsible for determining safe working load of the item, brackets, and items mounted to the brackets. Overloading the brackets may result in damage to the camper, brackets, or mounted items.
