This Quick Jack Release system allows you to remove the jacks from your slide in truck camper in seconds. End the headaches of using tools to remove fasteners and jump into the ease and time saving with the Frank Design QJRs. Proudly designed and made in the USA!
One set includes enough plates and hardware to install a Quick Jack Release on all four jacks of your camper. A set consists of laser cut stainless steel brackets and high quality hardware along with comprehensive installation instructions.
These QJRs are designed with the Reico Titan and Atwood bolt spacing. See bolt spacing drawing in the pictures to confirm that's what you have. The system will also work for Reico Titan jacks with clam shell style clamps. If you have an older version of the jacks with a different bolt spacing, the instructions include directions to modify brackets with other spacing by drilling two extra holes per jack.
The QJRs are offered in three variations:
1. Standard offset. This set extends the jacks 1.50" farther from the camper per side. Or 3" wider total
2. Extended offset. This set extends the jacks 3.50" farther from the camper per side. Or 7" wider total.
3. Combo offset. This set is a mix of the standard and extended versions. It contains plates to extended two jacks 1.50" farther from the camper per side. And two jacks to extend the jacks 3.50" farther from the camper per side. This are especially helpful if you have wide tires and you only need to have the extra width in the front of the camper to clear the tires.
Max weight rating per jack bracket is 1350 lbs. Max weight of camper is 3500 lbs.
These brackets use three mounting bolts, just like the jacks and campers were designed for by the manufacturers. Frank Design recommends to always use all three bolts in an install. Using less than three bolts to attach the brackets to the camper will significantly reduce the weight carrying capacity of the brackets.
Why would you want to remove your camper jacks? Four reasons:
1. To save weight (the jacks weigh almost 100lbs!)
2. To eliminate the chance of hitting an object while driving thus causing structural damage to the camper, truck, and jacks.
3. It just plain looks better
4. Better gas mileage. Less wind resistance
